How We Work
A Process Designed Around You
From First Visit to Final Installation
Our kitchen design process is focused on giving you the time and clarity needed to make confident decisions. From your first showroom visit to final installation, we manage every stage with the same team, ensuring nothing is lost in translation between design and delivery.

Showroom Consultation
Your journey begins with a showroom appointment at Faraday Mill. These consultations last between half an hour and an hour, giving us dedicated time to understand how you use your kitchen and what you aim to achieve. We guide you through our displays, explain the differences between materials and finishes, and offer transparent guidance on project costs early in the process.
This appointment system guarantees you have the showroom to yourself, providing a space for honest discussions about budgets, timelines, and what is realistically feasible. We accommodate clients who arrive without appointments where possible, but booking in advance ensures we can give our full attention.
Home Design Visit
Following your showroom visit, Nathan will conduct a home design consultation. This allows us to see your space firsthand, take precise measurements, and discuss ideas within the context of your actual home. We identify any structural considerations, evaluate natural light, and understand how the space currently functions.
These visits prove valuable for projects involving multiple rooms or where structural work might be required. We can identify potential issues early and plan effectively, preventing costly surprises later in the project.

Design Development
With measurements and your requirements clear, and a clear understanding of costs explained, we begin work on your kitchen design. This isn't about pushing products or maximising spend. We challenge ideas when necessary to help you avoid mistakes, but we never pressure you into choices that don't suit your needs or budget.
Throughout the design process, we remain focused on how you'll actually use the space. Storage solutions, working heights, appliance placement, and lighting all need to support your daily routines, not just look good in photographs.
Project Timeline & Installation
Once your design is finalised, we order your kitchen and organise the installation. Our installation team has been working together since 2008, which means they communicate seamlessly and uphold consistent standards throughout every project. From structural work and plastering to electrical installations, plumbing, decorating, and flooring, the same trusted team manages everything.
This continuity matters. When complications arise or adjustments are necessary, the team already understands your project thoroughly. You’re never left dealing with multiple contractors or wondering who is responsible for what.

Aftercare
Our relationship extends well beyond installation. We organise quarterly Neff Cooking Days in our showroom, inviting clients back to explore appliance features using our operational displays. These sessions have become true community gatherings, with our KF Cookaholics group connecting clients who share recipes and experiences.
We also offer a 10-year No Profit Repair Policy. If anything needs replacing or repairing, whether due to wear and tear or accidental damage, we provide the solution at our trade cost. This policy shows our commitment to every project long after the installation team has departed.
